Classes Offerings

FitNeighbor currently offers a variety of classes each week in the Hale/Page neighborhood of South Minneapolis. Each class focuses on functional fitness to make your body the most efficient machine it can be. Many of the workouts are completed outside during the warm months and indoors during the winter.

  • Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga w/ Angela
    Mondays at 5:30 a.m.
    Location: Classic TKD Studio
    5157 Bloomington Avenue South

    Power Vinyasa Flow heals, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind with emphasis on movement, balance and intention. It connects the body to the mind & spirit through intense flow and breath leaving you refreshed & energized.
  • Core Focused Boot Camp: Tuesdays, 5:30 a.m. Indoors: Hale Gym
    Outdoors: Hale Playground

    This hour long class also called "balls & bells" will lead you through many moves that will engage your core while working the major muscle groups to fatigue.  All participants bring a stability ball and two sets of dumbells. You will do things you never thought you could on a ball!

  • Mat Pilates for Athletes (and the rest of us)!
    Wednesdays, 5:30 a.m.
    Location: 5157 Bloomington Ave So (Classic TaeKwonDo Studio)
    This class will be slightly more intense without losing the ‘core’ attention to detail that Pilates provides.  While our attention is focused on the powerhouse, we will also work to improve self-awareness, improve lung capacity and breathing control, create greater mental focus, increase your deep core strength (instead of superficial strength), improve balance and flexibility and help to create strength symmetry.  This is a great class that is sure to enhance not only your other curricular activities, but your every day life as well.

  • Boot Camp w/ Darcy
    Thursdays, 5:30 a.m.
    Sundays, 8:00 a.m. (see
    Indoors: Hale Gym(Thurs) &  MKG Martial Arts Studio(Sun)
    Outdoors: Hale Playground

    Anything goes! Lots of functional fitness moves that will lead your muscles to failure for sure! We get the heart rate up and work all major muscle groups using resistance bands, body weight exercises, wobble boards, circuits and obstacle courses.  Super fun! Pull-ups anyone?

  • Ballet Bar w/ Michele - Starts 2/5
    Fridays at 5:30 a.m.
    Location: Classic TKD Studio at 5157 Bloomington Ave So

    Ballet Bar is a unique, high energy – no impact medley of a class that fuses Pilates, Ballet Bar work, Mat Work and Standing Core Work. This class moves continuously to fun music from standing to sitting to bending to lying down and also incorporates light resistance and isometric training as well as stretching.  Above all, it’s FUN! and it will definitely challenge every body part that you have.  This class has a personality of it’s own….so bring yours! 

    p.s. No dance background is necessary, needed or even used.  Don’t let the name fool you.

Class Cost:

10 classes: $140 ($14/class)

20 classes: $240 ($12/class)

30 classes: $300 ($10/class)

If two people from the same household would like to share a block of classes, add 10%

Drop-in fee: $20

New Client Sampler: $50/5 classes

 

Other Offerings: 

If you have a group of at least 6 people that would like a one time or ongoing class, special arrangements can be made!
